A Firm Built on Professional Excellence
Corporate Valuations, Inc. was founded on February 1, 1983, during a period of growing demand for independent, credentialed business appraisal services. From the beginning, the firm’s mission was clear: provide rigorous, defensible valuations that business owners, their advisors, and regulatory bodies could rely on with confidence.
Over the past four decades, that mission has not changed. What has evolved is the scope and depth of our capabilities. Today, Corporate Valuations serves clients nationwide across virtually every industry — from manufacturing and technology to healthcare, natural resources, and professional services. We have completed over one thousand appraisals for purposes including tax compliance, business transactions, employee ownership, financial reporting, and litigation.
Experienced Leadership, Hands-On Service
Corporate Valuations is led by two seasoned professionals who bring complementary strengths and decades of combined experience to every engagement.
Blake J. Runckel, ASA, CFA – President
Blake has been with the firm since 2000 and leads its strategic direction and client relationships. He holds two of the most rigorous credentials in the valuation and finance professions: the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter. He served on the ASA Board of Governors from 2013 to 2017. Blake specializes in intangible asset valuations and gift and estate tax engagements.
Cary M. Carruthers – Vice President
Cary has been with the firm since 1999 and oversees day-to-day operations and client engagements. He brings deep expertise in ESOP valuations, buy-sell transactions, gift and estate planning, marital dissolution, and litigation dispute resolution. His broad industry experience and methodical analytical approach ensure that every appraisal meets the highest standards of thoroughness and defensibility.
